Front Porch Rocker by D Hackett
Silver River State Park Florida
Silver River State Park has terrific historic flair. The authentic Cracker Village show guests what life was like for the earliest pioneer settlers in this area. Docent-lead tours are available once a month during the spring, fall and winter months. They take the summers off. Might be because of the heat. And, I can tell you, if you plan to come in August stay hydrated! The Cracker Village includes several buildings a church, school, smithy, mill and several others. These are open to viewing any time the park is open. On the far side of the Cracker Village is a replica of a Seminole encampment
