Cane Mill & Syrup Kettle
Sugar cane syrup was one of the chief cooking ingredients in pioneer life. Sugar cane was squeezed and its juice was boiled to make syrup. The resulting juice was then boiled in a kettle for six to eight hours for preservation and for a thicker consistency. The mill and kettle were donated by Charlie Knight in 1979.
