Carlton House 1885 Wauchula Florida
The Carlton house was building 1885 by Albert and Martha Carlton. It is a cracker style home with a dogtrot in the middle working as a breezeway.
Albert and Martha have ten children, one daughter Ella, and nine sons. The Carlton House was the boyhood home of Doyle E. Carlton, Floridas Governor from 1929-1933. The home was donated by T. Mabry Carlton in 1978.
